యూత్ క్లబ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ గా సమాజ సేవ ఆరంభం. 1977 సం.లో నేలకొండపల్లి గ్రామంలోని అన్ని వర్గాల యువకులంతా కలిసి నన్ను ఏకగ్రీవం గా యూత్ క్లబ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ గా ఎన్నుకున్నారు.లిబర్టీ యూత్ క్లబ్ గా దానికి నామకరణం చేసాము.ప్రెసిడెంట్ గా నేను,వైస్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ గా శ్రీ కంకిపాటి శ్రీనివాస రావు, సెక్రటరీ గా చెరుకూరి సాంబశివ రావు, జాయింట్ సెక్రటరీ గా శ్రీ కొల్లి జగన్మోహన రావు, కోశాధికారిగా శ్రీ ఠాకూర్ రాంగోపాల్ సింగ్ మరియు శ్రీ కోనేరు కిశోరు యిత్యాదులు కార్య  వర్గ సభ్యులు గా వున్నారు. కొంతకాలం తరువాత జూనియర్ కాలేజీ లో జరిగిన ఇంటర్ ఫైనల్ క్లాసు ప్రతినిధి ఎన్నిక పరిణామాల పర్యవసానం గా గ్రామ వాతావరణం మారిపాయింది.యూత్ క్లబ్ లో లిబర్టీ కరువై పాయిందని కొందరు బయటకు వెళ్ళటం, నేను తప్పని సరి పరిస్థితుల లో రాజకీయాలలోకి రావటం జరిగింది. రాజకీయాలలోకి వచ్చిన తరువాత మొట్ట మొదటి సారిగా సుందరయ్య చౌక్ లో కాంగ్రెస్ గద్దె నిర్మాణం ప్రారంభిం చాము. అప్పుడు CPM పార్టీ సానుభూతిపరు డోక్కరు గద్దె నిర్మాణ స్థలాన్ని ఇందిరా గాంధీ సమాధి అనటంతో గ్రామంలో ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్తుతులు ఏర్పడ్డాయి. అందువల్ల  కార్యక్రమాన్ని భారీ ఎత్తున చేయ

Mahatma Gandhi's meeting was held in my ancestral land in Khammam town near Venkatagiri Railway gate 5 August 1946.—  1942 సంవత్సరం ఆగస్ట్ నెలలో ప్రారంభమైన క్విట్ఇండియా ఉద్యమం 1945 లో ముగియటంతో వెంటనే గాంధీజీ దక్షిణ భారత హింది భాషా ప్రచార ఉద్యమాన్ని చేపట్టి పర్యటనలు ప్రారంభించారు.   ఖమ్మం టౌన్ కాంగ్రెస్ ఈసమావేశాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. ఆ సమయంలోనే 1946 సంవత్సరంలో నిజాం ప్రభుత్వం కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ పై వున్న నిషేధాన్ని ఎత్తి వేసింది. కమ్యూనిస్ట్ పార్టీ పై నిషేధాన్ని విధించింది. 1946, ఫిబ్రవరి 3, 4 తేదీలలో మద్రాస్ లో నిర్వహించిన  దక్షిణ భారత హింది భాషా ప్రచార కార్యక్రమం నుండి వస్తున్న గాంధీజీ, ఖమ్మం టౌన్ కాంగ్రెస్ కోరిక మేరకు మార్గ  మధ్యమంలో రైల్ ఆగగా ఫిబ్రవరి 5 వ తేదిన మహాత్మాగాంధి ప్రజలను ఉద్దేశించి మాట్లాడారు. ఖమ్మం టౌన్ కాంగ్రెస్ కు అప్పుడు శ్రీ గెల్లా కేశవా రావు ప్రెసిడెంట్ గా వున్నారు. స్వాతంత్య్ర దినోత్సవమ్ సందర్భము గా స్వాతంత్ర్య సమర యోధులను సత్కరించే కార్యక్రమంలో భాగం గా జిల్లా కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ప్రతినిధులుగా శ్రీ చింతనిప్పు లాలయ్య, కొత్త సీతారాములుతో కలిసి నేను వెళ్లినప్

దేవాలయం చరిత్ర. ఆరు వందల సంవత్సరాల పైగా చరిత్ర గల నెలకొందపల్లి లొని శ్రీ వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి దేవాలయాన్ని పూర్వకాలం లో "నాగుల్ దేవాలయం"గా పిలిచేవారు. నిజాం కాలం నుంచి 1967 సంవత్సరం రాష్ట్ర దేవాదాయ శాఖ స్వాధీనం చేసుకొనే వరకు "దేవల్ బాలాజీ" అని పిలిచేవారు. ఇక్కడ స్వామి స్వయంభూ మరియు శేషావతారం. ఇక్కడ కొలువై ఉన్న దేవుడు కోరిన కోరికలు తీర్చే స్వామియని భక్తుల విశ్వాసం. 320 ఎకరాలు పైగా పొలం ఉన్నా అందులో 100 ఎకరాలు సుమారుగా సాగర్ కాలువ క్రింద పోయింది. మిగిలిన భూమిలో రేగులగడ్డా తండాలో 150 ఎకరాలు పోను నేలకొండపల్లి మరియు పరిసర గ్రామాల్లో ఉంది. 1967 వరకు ముంతకల్దారులు గా మరియు స్థానాచార్యులు గా 17 తరాలు "ముడుంబాయ్" వంశస్థులు వున్నారు. వారి కోరిక ప్రకారం తదుపరి శ్రీ మరింగంటి కృష్ణమాచార్యులు వచ్చారు.  ఉత్సవ సమయాల్లో స్వామి వాహన దారులుగా బెస్త కులస్థులు ఆనాటినుంచి ఈనాటి వరకు తరాలు మారినా సాంప్రదాయం కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు.  మహిమ మరియు చరిత్ర ఉన్న ఈ దేవాలయం గురించిన చారిత్రక ఆధారాలు/ శిలా శాసనాలు లేకపోవటం దురదృష్టకరం. దేవాలయం తో అనుభంధం. మా వూరికి
