Israel–Lebanon War 2026: Ground Battles, Rocket Strikes, and Humanitarian Crisis

Israel and Lebanon are in the middle of a destructive war that began in March 2026, with Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon and Hezbollah launching rockets and drones into Israel. The fighting has killed over 2,600 people in Lebanon, displaced more than 1.2 million civilians, and shows no clear path to resolution.  


The Israel–Lebanon conflict of 2026 has escalated into one of the most dangerous flashpoints in the Middle East. Since March 2, 2026, Israel has launched ground incursions into southern Lebanon, demolishing infrastructure and attempting to establish a “buffer zone” south of the Litani River.  

In response, Hezbollah has intensified rocket and drone attacks on Israeli territory and IDF positions inside Lebanon. Heavy fighting has been reported in Bint Jbeil and Khiam, while Israeli airstrikes have devastated Beirut and the Bekaa Valley. A single wave of strikes on April 8, 2026 killed more than 300 people in one day.  

The humanitarian toll is staggering: 2,618 killed, 8,094 injured, and over 1.2 million displaced in Lebanon. Civilians face shortages of food, fuel, and medical supplies as the conflict rages on.  

Internationally, the UN Security Council is debating how to monitor the Blue Line after the withdrawal of UNIFIL in December 2025. However, with Hezbollah tied to Iran and Israel entrenched in southern Lebanon, prospects for peace remain slim.  

This war is not just a local clash—it is part of the broader Iran–Israel–US confrontation, making it a regional crisis with global implication

(NKP-3).  శ్రీ భక్త రామదాసు స్మారక మందిరం (ప్రస్తుత ద్యానమందిరం) విశేషాలు. నేలకొండపల్లి గ్రామం ఖమ్మం నుండి 23 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో, కొదాడు నుండి 15 కిలోమీటర్ల      దూరం లోవుంది.   శ్రీ భక్త రామదాసు గారి అసలు పేరు కంచర్ల గోపన్న.  ఖమ్మం జిల్లా నేలకొండపల్లి గ్రామంలోక్రి.శ.  1632   సం.ప్రాంతంలో  శ్రీకంచర్ల లింగన్న, శ్రీమతి కామమ్మ  దంపతులకు ఆయన జన్మించారు. ఆయన భార్య పేరు  శ్రీమతి కమలమ్మ.                  శ్రీ భక్త రామదాసు ప్రముఖ వాగ్గేయ కారుడు. భక్త జయదేవుడు, త్యాగయ్య, అన్నమయ్య, పురందరదాసు, నారాయణ తీర్ధులు, శ్యామ శాస్త్రి, ముత్తుస్వామి దీక్షితార్, క్షేత్రయ్య ..ఇలా ఎందరో  కర్నాటక సంగీత జ్యోతిని వెలిగించిన వాగ్గేయకారుల సరసన రామదాసుకు సముచిత స్థానముంది. సాహిత్య పరిశోదనల్లో వెలుగు చుసిన ఆయన 206 కీర్తనలను కాలగర్భంలో కలసిపోకుండా రక్షించుకుంటూ ఆ కీర్తనలకు దేశవ్యాప్త ప్రచారం చేయవలసి వుంది. తిరువయ్యారులో ప్రతి ఏటా జరిగే త్యాగయ్య ...
