The Legends who drafted the INDIAN CONSTITUTION!

The Drafting Committee and its members were very influential in Indian constitution-making during the Committee stages and the deliberations of the Constituent Assembly.
1. Sri K.Munshi (Bombay), 2. Alladi Krishna Swamy Iyyer (Madras), 3. N.Gopala Swamy Iyyer (Ex PM, J & K), 4. Md.Sadullah (Muslim League Member), 5. D.P.Khaitan (Lawyer) and 6. Bengal Narasimha Rao (Adviser).
After the resignation of Sri Mittal Madhava Rao advisor of Maharaja of Vadodara) and After the death of Sri, Khaitan, Sri T.T.Krishnamachary was appointed as members to the Committee. It was adopted on 26th Nov 1949.
The Drafting Committee and its members were very influential in Indian constitution-making during the Committee stages and the deliberations of the Constituent Assembly.
On 29th August 1947, the Constituent Assembly through a resolution appointed a Drafting Committee and Dr BR Ambedkar was appointed the head of the drafting committee with one objective - draft a permanent and organized constitution for India. At its first meeting on 30th August 1947, the Drafting Committee elected B.R Ambedkar as its Chairman.
The committee went back to its roots and referred to the Government of India Act, 1935. A first draft of the constitution was submitted to the Assembly on November 4, 1947, after 141 days into working on it. Towards the end of October 1947, the Drafting Committee began to scrutinize the Draft Constitution prepared by the B.N Rau, the Constitutional Advisor. It made various changes and submitted the Draft Constitution to the President of the Constituent Assembly on 21st of February 1948.
Assembly sessions took place 166 days, for a period of two years, that was also open to the public. After a plethora of discussions, amendments and hard work, on January 24, 1950, 616 signatures were made by 308 members of the Assembly on the two hand-written copies (Hindi and English) of the final draft of Constitution of India. After two days, on January 26, 1950, the longest written Constitution of the world that incorporated 448 Articles in 22 Parts, 12 Schedules, and 97 Amendments was validated and found an across effect across every corner of the country.
