History of Committee School to the Government School.
This PIC was taken in front of the newly constructed building of Sri Bhakta Ramadasu Memorial Committee School, Nelakondapally in the year 1950's. Parents committee was formed in the year 1952 under the presidentship of Sri Pendyala Satyanarayana Rao. With their efforts school was upgraded to 6th (1952-53) to 10th (1956-57). The first batch of 10th class strength was only 14 members. After hard service and regular supervision, minimum strength was maintained. School buildings were constructed. Elders regularly visited the school to solve administration problems and to appoint good teachers. Sometimes the school was run in a private place. The committee school was handed over to the government in the year 1959. The name of the school was modified later as Z.P.S.S. School.

The below rooms construction was for the additional accommodation of school classes in Nelakondapally village. Previously it was for primary school purpose.

Parents committee faced many legal hurdles and outside political forces. Local Khammam MP Smt Thella Laxmikanthamma influenced the education minister Sri P.V.Narasimha Rao to sanction junior college at Gokinepally village. She opposed the efforts of the Nelakondapally village elders to sanction Junior college at Nelakondapally. After a long fight, Junior college was sanctioned at Nelakondapally village. Within a gap of 15 days time, another Junior college was sanctioned at Gokinepally village also within 9 km radius. Because of KASU BRAHMANANDA REDDY's (Hon'ble CM of AP state) blessings JUNIOR COLLEGE WAS SANCTIONED at Nelakondapally. In 60's another primary school was sanctioned in Nelakondapally village exclusively for Girls, but so many boys were studied in that school including me. I studied up to fourth class there.
We can see the girl's school pic in below pic. Once it was the premises of "VIRAAT RAAYAANDHRA GRANDHALAYAM", a historical premise.
Another primary school was sanctioned in the name of "Singareddypalem primary school". Once Singareddypalem was a dead village. At the time of plot allocated to the weaker sections in 1950's houses were built. Singareddypalem and Nelakondapally villages are twin villages. Singareddypalem village is located to the western boundary of Nelakondapally village and western part of the trunk road which is Khammam to Kodad road.
In recent past Degree college was sanctioned and it is running on the same premises of Junior college in Nelakondapally.
